Abuse Reporting and Law Enforcement Requests Policy

Last updated: 15 January 2026

This policy explains how to report misuse of the MELUAURE network and how we handle requests from law enforcement. We take abuse seriously and respond to lawful requests responsibly, while protecting the privacy that our no-logs architecture is built to preserve.

Reporting abuse

If you believe the MELUAURE network is being used to harm you or others, please contact us using the details below. To help us act quickly, include as much detail as you can:

  • The IP address or endpoint involved, if known.
  • The date and time of the activity, including the timezone.
  • A description of what happened and any supporting evidence such as logs or headers.
  • Your contact details so we can follow up if needed.

How we handle reports

We review every credible report. Where we confirm a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy, we take proportionate action, which may include warning the user, rate-limiting, suspension, or termination. We prioritise reports involving imminent harm, and we treat child-safety reports as our highest priority.

Our no-logs reality

Because MELUAURE does not record the destinations or content of the traffic routed through the network, we frequently do not hold the historical data that a report or request seeks. We are transparent about this: we cannot produce information that was never collected. What we can act on is our limited account, billing, and abuse-prevention data.

Law enforcement requests

We respond to valid legal process from authorities with jurisdiction over MELUAURE. Requests must be lawful, specific, and properly served through the correct legal channel. We do not act on informal or overbroad requests, and we require the appropriate court order, warrant, subpoena, or equivalent instrument for the category of data sought.

What we can and cannot provide

In response to a valid request, we can only provide the limited information we actually hold, such as basic account or billing records where legally compelled. We cannot provide browsing history, destinations, or traffic content, because that information is not logged.

Emergency requests

Where there is a credible risk of imminent harm to a person, we will work with authorities as fast as the law allows, within the bounds of what data we hold.

Notice to users

Where permitted by law and not counterproductive to an investigation, we aim to notify an affected user before disclosing information about them, so they may seek to challenge the request.

Transparency

We keep our handling of abuse and legal requests consistent with this policy and our Privacy and No-Logs Policy. Questions about either can be sent to the contacts below.
